Using the Magura MT5e brake is easy. For normal braking, simply squeeze the brake lever. The mechanical switch in the brake bracket will activate the brake light before you start to slow down, and also cut off the drive for extra safety. When you let go of the lever, the circuit closes again. As for maintenance, regularly check the brake pads for wear. If they're getting thin, it's time to replace them. Keep the brake calliper clean and free from dirt and debris. And make sure the brake fluid is at the right level.
