The DISC 29 E SRAM / AVID brake pads offer outstanding brake power and easy modulation with little effort on the brake lever. They are long - lasting and perform extremely well at high temperatures. Whether it's wet or dry, these pads maintain consistent performance and have an excellent lifespan. Features include a long - lasting, high - endurance pad compound, effortless modulation of braking force, high - temperature stability for steady brake power, and an organic formula that's quiet and rotor - friendly. These pads fit various models from Avid like Code (2011 - 2014), Code R, and from SRAM such as Code RSC, Code R (2017), and Guide RE. Note: Pads must be bedded in for optimal performance. These brake pads are easy to use. First, make sure to bed them in for the best performance. On a gradual downhill slope, drag each brake for 20 - 30 seconds, alternating between front and rear, and repeat this 2 - 3 times. Then, on a steeper slope, engage and drag the brakes for 10 - 15 seconds, and then increase the lever pressure until the bike almost stops. Do this 2 - 3 times. A pro tip is that the front pads heat up more than the rear. To get the best performance, swap the front and rear pads and repeat the second step. Before replacing or exchanging the brake pads, let all parts cool down. These pads are long - lasting, but for maintenance, keep an eye on their wear. If they start to wear thin, it's time to replace them. Also, since they have an organic formula that's rotor - friendly, they should cause less damage to your rotors over time.
