Boeshield Rust Free is a top - notch rust, corrosion, and stain remover. It's suitable for various materials like steel, cast iron, stainless steel, fiberglass, chrome, tile, porcelain, vinyl, and cloth. For light rust on steel or cast iron, spray Rust Free on a rag and wipe the surface. Avoid direct spraying to prevent spotting. When dealing with heavy rust, thoroughly wet the surface with Rust Free, let it soak in for 30 seconds, then scrub with a Scotch - Brite pad before wiping off. Note that Rust Free is acidic. Rinse it thoroughly off painted surfaces and neutralize with soap and water. Don't use it on guns or black oxide tools as it can dull paint or plastics and cause spotting on cast iron or steel.
