Enhance your GuideRail's carrying capacity! Upgrade from a 2 - bike setup to a 3 - bike setup. This add - on is only compatible with the 2" GuideRail and not with the AfterParty or 1.25' GuideRail. Expandable to carry 3 bikes, with each tray handling up to 45 lbs (down from 60 lbs per tray). Load bikes asymmetrically to avoid handlebar interference. It secures bikes by only touching the tires, without contacting the frame or fork. Can carry 19mm road tires up to 3.0" wide mountain bike tires, with wheel diameters from 20" to 29". Works with bicycle wheelbases from 36" to 55". Not suitable for bikes with fenders. The rack weighs 18 lbs (shipping weight 23 lbs) and comes with an extra chain to lock all three bikes.

Using the Rocky Mounts GuideRail Add - on is easy. First, make sure you have the 2" GuideRail as this add - on isn't compatible with others. Install the add - on according to the instructions to expand your rack to hold 3 bikes. When loading bikes, you can place them asymmetrically to avoid handlebar problems. Remember, each tray can now hold up to 45 lbs, so don't overload. The add - on secures bikes by the tires, so you don't have to worry about damaging the frame or fork. It can handle different tire sizes, from 19mm road tires to 3.0" wide mountain bike tires, and wheel diameters from 20" to 29". But keep in mind, it won't work with bikes that have fenders. Also, use the extra chain it comes with to lock all 3 bikes safely. For maintenance, regularly check the connections and make sure everything is tight. If it gets dirty, just clean it with a mild soap and water solution and dry it thoroughly.
