The SpeedBox 1.2 B.Tuning for Bosch offers a one - of - a - kind connection between your e - bike and mobile phone. It effectively suppresses the e - bike's speed limiter, allowing you to enjoy a faster ride. In our SpeedBox App, your phone display will accurately show the actual speed and other riding data.
This tuning is incredibly easy to control. You can activate the SpeedBox 1.2 B.Tuning either through the mobile app or by briefly activating the WALK assist function on your e - bike's control unit (hold down the “ - ” button). Once activated, your e - bike display will show 3.5 km/h (2.2 mph), and you can ride up to 35 km/h or even faster. You have the freedom to set the speed limit up to 99 kph, but to avoid error codes, we suggest not exceeding 35 km/h.
To deactivate the tuning, simply activate the WALK assist function again. The e - bike display will show 2.5 km/h (1.6 mph), and the speed limit will reset to 25 km/h, making your e - bike work as it did before the tuning.
Even if your e - bike doesn't have the WALK assist function, you can still activate or deactivate the tuning by switching between two assistance modes twice (press the - + - + buttons). Remember, always activate or deactivate the tuning when the e - bike is stationary, not while riding.
When you first open the SpeedBox App, you'll need to set a new PIN, which will be required every time you open the app. After that, you'll set a service password in case you forget the PIN or want to change it.
You can set the maximum speed limit by switching modes from TURBO mode: three levels down and then three levels up (eMTB - TOUR+ - ECO - TOUR+ - eMTB - TURBO). The actual speed limit will then be displayed. You can switch the maximum speed of electric assistance by briefly activating the WALK assist function or turning the rear wheel 360°. The values on the display (2.5 km/h for 25 km/h limit, 3.0 for 30 km/h, 3.5 for 35 km/h, etc.) will correspond to the speed limits, and the last displayed limit will be saved after 15 seconds of inactivity.
After your ride, leave the bike on until the display shows 0.0 km/h. During this time, the remaining time will be displayed. Only then is it safe to turn off the bike. Don't remove the display to lock the e - bike until the 'countdown' process is complete.
Our SpeedBox products use original connectors, making the installation and disassembly processes very simple. We've also provided detailed instructions and videos to help you. If you're installing SpeedBox on a new bike, ride it for at least 10 km before activating the tuning.
Important: Connect the male - female connectors in the direction of the lock and don't rotate them during connection.
Please note that using a modified e - bike on public roads may be illegal in some countries. The manufacturer isn't responsible for damages from using SpeedBox products. E - bikes with SpeedBox can only be used on private property at your own risk. Using SpeedBox may void your e - bike's warranty. We strongly recommend using safety features and protective gear.
If you lose your service password or PIN, you can use our service available here. We also recommend not updating your e - bike's firmware as it increases the risk of tuning detection. When stopping briefly, keep one foot on the pedal to avoid the countdown. For longer stops, let the countdown partially complete. After a long ride, the countdown may take several minutes. Don't remove the display until the countdown is finished, and always activate or deactivate the tuning when the bike is still.

Hey there! Using the SpeedBox 1.2 B.Tuning for Bosch is a breeze. First, you can activate it either through the mobile app or by using the WALK assist function on your e - bike's control unit. Just hold down the “ - ” button. Once it's on, you can go up to 35 km/h or more, but it's best not to go over 35 km/h to avoid problems. To turn it off, do the same thing with the WALK assist function. If your e - bike doesn't have the WALK assist, you can use the - + - + buttons.
When you open the app for the first time, set a PIN and a service password. You'll need the PIN every time you open the app.
To set the speed limit, switch modes from TURBO like this: eMTB - TOUR+ - ECO - TOUR+ - eMTB - TURBO. You can also change the max electric assistance speed by using the WALK assist or turning the rear wheel.
After your ride, leave the bike on until it shows 0.0 km/h. This is important because you don't want to turn it off too soon.
Installing and taking out the SpeedBox is easy because we use original connectors. And we've got instructions and videos to help. If you have a new bike, ride it for 10 km before using the tuning.
Now, some important things to remember. Connect the connectors in the right direction and don't turn them. Using this tuned e - bike on public roads might be illegal in some places, so only use it on private property. Also, it could void your e - bike's warranty. Wear safety gear!
Don't update the firmware of your e - bike as it can make the tuning easier to detect. When you stop, keep one foot on the pedal if it's a short stop. For longer stops, let the countdown do its thing. And never remove the display until the countdown is done. Always turn the tuning on or off when the bike isn't moving.
